MG Associates was formed in 1992 to provide an independent service in the testing and inspection of structures. In May 2008, we merged with CET Safehouse and are now part of the CET Safehouse group of companies. (see www.cetsafehouse.com). We specialise in durability surveys of large concrete structures such as concrete bridges, reinforced concrete car parks, and multi storey and high rise concrete buildings, but we also deal with domestic housing, offices, culverts - in fact all kinds of structures. We also offer laboratory testing services ranging from chemical analysis, to physical testing and also petrographic (microscopic) examination of samples. This can be on samples taken by the Client or by our own site teams. We also provide training courses in concrete as a material and in concrete inspection, testing and repair in the UK and abroad. Company ProfileThe Directors have spent many years in the construction industry and have dealt with failures in structures of all types, from Structural Problems to Reinforcement Corrosion, ASR, Carbonation, High Alumina Cement, Chlorides, Sulfate attack, Concrete Cube Failures and many more. We also deal with most building materials, plasters, renders, mortars, screeds, sealants, mastics, plastics, paint, metals, timber, ceramic tiling - in fact just about anything related to buildings Senior staff comprise Chartered Chemists and Engineers. We have a considerable amount of in-house engineering knowledge, but additional expertise is provided through external consultants, as required. MG Associates is a member of the Concrete Society and The Directors lecture regularly on concrete inspection and repair. We also undertake expert witness work.
